New Journey | Jianyi New Materials Escorts the Opening of the Century Project Pinglu Canal!

On September 16, 2026, the Pinglu Canal—a key project of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor—was officially completed and opened to navigation.

As the first river-to-sea canal uniformly planned and constructed since the founding of the People's Republic of China, construction began on August 28, 2022. After four years of arduous efforts, the dream of navigation has finally been realized, opening up the shortest maritime outlet from China's southwestern region to the Beibu Gulf.

As a national-level super water conservancy project, the Pinglu Canal has a total length of 134.2 kilometers and can accommodate 5,000-ton vessels. The entire route faces multiple engineering challenges, including slope anti-seepage, drainage channel seepage control and guiding, erosion resistance, drainage anti-filtration, and soil and water stability. High-standard geosynthetics played an irreplaceable role in the construction of canal embankments, channel slopes, and revetments.

Jianyi New Materials was honored to participate in this century-project, continuously supplying large quantities of series geosynthetic materials such as geotextiles, geomembranes, three-dimensional composite drainage nets, and concrete canvas. These materials served functions such as channel seepage prevention, drainage, and slope protection, safeguarding the anti-seepage, slope protection, and slope stability of the Pinglu Canal with top-tier product quality.

From material production to on-site application, our company strictly adhered to the high standards of water conservancy projects.
